Michael,

Definitely have to agree that ESM sounds amazing with headphones!  A lot of 
the Oils stuff sounds even better than it already is with a nice set of 
headphones (something that I have discovered from having Oils marathons on 
road trips when I'm in the backseat with my headphones on).  ESM definitely 
tops them all though!  But in general having the sound compacted and playing 
directly into your ear makes the music sound better because there is nothing 
between the speaker and your ear that could alter the sound.  With Oils it 
just makes the music even more amazing because it is easier to hear all the 
different layers in their songs.  Not to mention you can hear the 
intertwining guitar parts better with Jim in one ear and Martin in the 
other! :)

In addition it really SOUNDS great. In some ways it sounds better to me than
any other Oils album.  Put the headphones on; Play ESM and other albums and
you will see what I mean.
