So much to try and remember. It was definitely a highlight when Rob appeared
poking out of his water tank during the end of Diesel's set, he looked like
a muppet! He stayed there for a whole song and did a bit of drumming on the
tank.
When the Oils came out it was obvious that they were more enthusiastic than
last night. Pete came out first and started with a harmonica solo then
talked about Oz not being a suburb of the USA, then straight into US Forces
with Rob up front for the first 5 songs. They proceeded to power through the
whole set at lightning speed. The crowd was very vocal and energetic
compared to last night too. After the second encore, Rob came back out with
a giftwrapped snare drum and presented it to his roadie, who he said had
been hiding beside his kit for 10 years now, and the crowd gave him an
applause. In what has to be the most surrreal moment in Oils history, about
half way through P&TP, a pair of Y-front underpants suspended on string was
lowered by an unseen person on the lighting rig to hilarious effect, and the
guys were in stitches. Must have been an in joke, it was very funny. At the
end the guys were very emotional and stood lined up with their arms around
each other facing the crowd and receiving rapturous applause.
I can only manage a rough setlist today, not in proper order. Wait for Steve
to post the official one.

Nathan.

Another awesome show,

What else can I say? Its nearly 4.00am and the brains not workin to
well......
Pretty much a total different setlist to lastnight except for a couple of
the better known radio hits, some of the notable inclusions were river runs
red, warakurna, one country. Steve got a setlist so I'm sure he'll let you
all know.
The five of them were arm in arm at the very end of the show and they took a
bow and Andrew said that he'd never ever seen them do that, so it adds to
the mystery as to whether retirement looms......I'm still to be convinced.
After the show some anonymous chick told me that she heard Peter say
something to the effect of "we'll have a break but we never retire" when
questioned if this gig was to be their last. It was a pretty inconclusive
comment that unsuprisingly didn't give away too much so make of it what you
will.

Diesel put on another great performance, and on the 2nd last or last song of
his set, we heard clanging on the water tank on Rob's kit up the back.
Diesel himself turned round to see what was goin on, and who's head did we
see poking out of it??? Rob must have crept into it with pretty good stealth
as we had no idea till he revealed himself. He came out of it and on to the
stage, he really seemed to be enjoying Diesel's music. He hung around till
diesel finished and they walked off stage arm in arm. It was all pretty
amusing and entertaining to see that side of Rob.

Mark.
