I dunno, so many books of this type degenerate into tattle-tales and
pandering to an audience that wants "more dirt, more dirt!"  I was so
happy to see RH retain a class attitude and respectful manner toward his
band-mates' privacy that I didn't care if the result was a bit on the
lightweight side.  Mean people suck, and so does mean writing.  From
what one hears, he could have written more than a few juicy tidbits
about one of the band members, he he he!  But if that is true, I really
don't wanna know.
 
I know nothing of publishing - does anybody know if its sales were good
enough to have been profitable? - Beth

I basically share Virgil's disappointment with Willie's. Glad I bought
it, generally enjoyed it, but felt it lacked depth -- shortcomings of a
travel book, as Virgil said. Harsh? Nah. I don't think anyone on this
list has really trashed the book, but Virgil and I aren't the first two
to express mild disappointment with it...
