I grew up on prog rock (except a short stint with disco in 77-78
that I do consider shameful) but I never saw much prog rock
influence in the Oils music. though I must admit that while working
on RW for the OILSLIVE project I was listening to Blot and there is
a section in it that is simply taken out of a King Crimson book.

and no - ELO is not shameful. some of there stuff (particularly
between eldorado and out of the blue) is awesome
