[Kate Parker Adams]

I was reading through a book of Earth Prayers, published in 1991, when I 
ran across a poem by Chief Dan George of the Salish tribe.  A native of 
Pacific Canada, his spirit was likely present at Clayoquot even if he died 
about a decade earlier.

One interesting section:

The summit of the mountain,
the thunder of the sky,
the rhythm of the sea
speaks to me.
