I was lucky enough to receive copies today of several past oils concerts
from a kind powderworker. I have spent the last couple of hours
listening to the energy, passion and thought provoking lyrics of their
music and reminiscing of the good times that I enjoyed at their many
concerts over the years.
Every day I search the morning newspaper looking for any indication that
Pete has returned to the band and that they will once again perform
live. I still do not understand why he left the band so suddenly and
with no apparent desire to return. I also wonder of perhaps he is
regretting his decisions?
It has now been 9 months since I last saw them perform at the Manly
Leagues Club and these performances will long live in my memory as being
some of the best ever. If only we could go back in time to when the
band was first starting out so that we could once again relive another
25 years of hearing their music.
To help my memories of the oils continue I am desperately seeking copies
of the following performances:
* Capital Theatre 17/9/83
* Sydney Entertainment Centre 27/11/82
* Bankstown Sydney 12/86
* MTV Unplugged New York 20/4/93
* State Theatre Sydney 22/8/2000 (I attended this performance and
would like a copy for nostalgic reasons)
It would be greatly appreciated if any kind powderworkers out there
would be willing to provide me with a copy of any or all of the above.
I would be happy to provide discs and postage costs of you could provide
your time to copy them for me.
