Hey Workers

This show at Manly on Friday night would have to go pretty close as being as
good or great as it gets for sheer intensity, consistency and passion that
you would get at an oils show. Out of seeing them close to about 40 times
now since breaking my oils virginity so to speak in November of 1990, this
was a ripping, loud, ferocious set that didnt let up at all. Just have a
look at the set list below. The crowd was amazing, the band members were
having so much fun, I havn't seen Garrett dance and move about the stage
with such speed and blistering hand and feet movements in a very long time.
It was as if it was back to 1982 and not 2002. Garrett was in vintage
form. the whole band was in vintage form. Pete also found the time to jump
off the stage and run through the stage and front barrier and brush past our
very sweatty hands. Glad Reed added a very authentic and nostalgic touch to
beds, dead heart and power and passion and even helped bones out with vocal
duties at the end of the dead heart, du ,du, du part. great stuff glad. It
was very, very hot, sweatty and tight up front with no room to breathe which
is how we like it. I cant say enough about this show, but you just had to be
there. Powdies who have been to most of the shows this tour you would have
to say that this one would have to stick out like a sore thumb so to speak.
You guys who were there that nite rocked, the oils rocked, diesel and sneak
were great supports as well. The boys do deserve a break, sorry to the euro
supporters out there.

Cheers
Michael M
