[Powderworks] the aftermath

there is still hope.
But don't underestimate evil.
Bush capitalized on 9/11 so shamelessly
(and I dare say that he let it happen, and turned a
blind eye to it,and I don't mean Dubya, the Howdy
Doody puppet by that, but Cheney, Rumsfeld, and the
rest of the Sith), and of course has instigated war
while neglecting responsibilities we have here on our
soil, but you all know about that.... he's merciless
and blind and we'll have to be ready for it.
4 days ago I was in the Boston commons at a big Peace
Rally, Tim Robbins, Howard Zinn, and Jill Stein (more
on her later) were there, and in the face of all this
about to happen, it was inspiring. I expected the GOP
to sweep as they did, but there was a true spirit of
resistance there, and Peter Garrett would have fit
right in with the other speakers, of course.
I volunteered this year for Jill Stein, who was the
Green Massachusetts candidate for governor, and we
made our quota of votes to validate our party. we did
not spoil the election, b/c our democratic candidate
was a flake, and the margin was too wide. People who
saw the gubernatorial debates had to admit that Jill
was the only one who had any brains at all, but they
were too afraid of "spoiling" the election, that fear
factor has to be overcome. I am upset today, but this
all prepared me for it a little bit. So Randy, yes,
its true, being locally active is smart, b/c thats how
to be effective, as to answer the question what can we
do about this, I only have one word:grassroots.
so:n-e ways, if anybody's interested, I have a forward
by Gore Vidal assessing the state of this so called
union, who is a favorite writer of Mr. Garrett's of
