For what its worth, here's some stuff I've been listening to over the last 6 
months or so:

anything by Idlewild -what a band!
Joseph Arthur - Come To Where I'm From
Mercury Rev - All Is Dream
Cornershop - Handcream for a Generation
     -new lp; this is a sure bet to be on many year-end Top 10 lists
Saez - Jours Etranges
     -seems appropriate in light of recent events in France
Daniel Belanger - Rever Mieux
