Tone Poem is the one song on the album that doesn't wear thin after
listening to it 100 times. You may find that one day you have a serious
addiction to Tone Poem. From the humble beginnings of least favourite song
on the album it is now probably my favourite Midnight Oil song (I know even
my wife is starting to know the lyrics!).
Anyone else think the CD packaging is a bad idea? As soon as the plastic
inlay gets damaged then you are stuck with it because it's glued onto the
cardboard. So far I'm ok but I would have been mightily pissed if the middle
had been wrecked in the shipping (which often does happen!).
Another thing - the lyrics don't tie on Under the Overpass. They are almost
there but Pete just puts a slightly different slant on them. This is bizarre
though when you think about it. Did no-one check with the final take?!?
