What's this I keep hearing about the second half of Capricornia being a 'let
down' or 'too nice' or 'not up to scratch' or 'unimaginative'???? I love
Mosquito March, Have I Been Away Too Long, Under The Overpass, World That I
See and definately Poets & Slaves! For all the simplistic lyrics of 'March'
can you think of a song that rocks harder musically? or screams at you to
'get that simple answer?' or the beautiful image and recovery of 'been
away?' it's been a while since the oils have done a pure surfing song. And
this is as pure and wet as it gets. Have you ever returned to the beach
after working for ages and just felt the cool wind and all you can think of
'have i been away too long?' magic.

Overpass is smooth, slow and mystic. Lyrically strong, deep and colourful,
like it fell off the floor of a cross section between BSM and Breathe.

And world? to me, World That I See is what a song like Gunbarrell could have
been. World is positive, rocking and the lyrics are meaningful, deep and
passionate. So the chorus is simple. But sometimes, so is the land.

And poets......... no end to no album ever has blown me away so much.
Period.

I love Capricornia, from song 1 to 11, all 47ish minutes of it. it's almost
nudging my favourite album, Redneck for that prize place in my heart /
collection.

Bravo boys. and encore, too.

my 55 and 1/2 c.

-ian.
