well britney and the corporations are predictable, par for their course =
and harmless in comparison to the others. waving flags, conscientiously =
cashing in and singing songs about "freedom" (sir paul's new release) =
who commended u2's sick, almost condescending super bowl patriotism to =
capitalize on sept. are all equally despicable and unconscionable coming =
from previously politically astute artists.=20
now this opinion may seem extreme or taking things out of context,,,such =
as, paul may have recorded his freedom song before sept. 11th and just =
decided to go ahead and release it. even though it may be a bit =
tasteless to take advantage of the innocent, if not, oblivious consumer =
pigs of a country reaping the whirlwind of it's overseas escapades.=20
and u2 may just be good christians wanting to spread love and morn the =
dead of a tragic event and are in no way intending to condone the =
obfuscation and further dilution of liberty by merely imbuing their =
performances in reds, whites and blues. =20
but this is what is happening and rock n roll ( however mediocre ) is =
the tool.
rock n roll is now the antithesis of it's impetus!
what can this lead too?? well, in the future the truth about the =
imperialist families and corporations capitalizing on terrorism and =
apathy by amending the freedom of the duped, fear baited masses may well =
be known. there will be billions of virulently patriotic fools to blame =
with ancestors asking "how could it happen?" the answer is simple -- =
fear, for their comfort, greed and the all important ignorance, guided =
by misinformation, jaded apathy and consumer oblivion bloat.=20
bin laden has predicted a bleak, "choking and hellish future" for =
americans at the hands of their government...just what terrorism wants =
and our blind fervor for our erroneous justice is the fuel for our own =
fire!! =20
