Well some one already responded with the answer that Jim fiddled with =
the guitar for a short bit, didn't jump right to keys, gave it a shot at =
fixing it before bailing, a couple of us had a good laugh with Jim =
talking about it after the show. Then to answer your question on Ren =
Man, they stood around wondering if it was fixed and then off mic you =
could hear them talking about what they could play with Jim on =
Keyboards, I wanted My Country instead but Renaissance Man came off =
pretty well.

Subject: [Powderworks] Jim's Guitar Problems 7/11/02 Madison, WI
Hi everyone,=20
I am listening to the 7/11/02 Madison show for the first time since I =
received the show and I have a question about the apparent problems Jim =
was having during Too Much Sunshine. I noticed that in the second =
verse, Peter begins singing it with just Rob's drums before Martin comes =
in. My question is does Jim switch to acoustic in an attempt to recover =
or does he go directly to keyboards. I thought I heard both. Anyway, I =
think it is the greatest recovery on a live song I have ever heard =
because the song still sounded amazing. Anyone with any info on this? =
Was anyone there to see what was happening? Renaissance Man sounded =
great as well. It sounded like an audience request.=20
Mere mortal bands would have probably stopped the song but not the =
magical oils .=20
