Well, I haven't known how to post on such a monumental decision for us =
all. The band calling it quits I guess would not have been a total shock =
but just one member leaving is actually a big surprise, never thought =
something like this would be the way they'd go out. I had MORE figured =
they'd go on and on recording and just not touring save a couple shows =
here and there in Sydney for fun. But even if Pete wanted time to =
himself he could have gone on recording vocals for quite some time. He =
doesn't have a hand in songwriting and only need to lay down vocal =
tracks, how much time can that possibly take? Anyway, kinda frustrating =
for me since Martin, Jim and Rob are my all time favs and feel pretty =
bad for Peter doing this to them. Not trying to stir up a shit-storm but =
just since the others don't seem like their ready to quit then its =
unfortunate for them to say the least. From talking with the guys on the =
last tour I HIGHLY doubt they are in any position financially to retire =
so this will surely cripple them a bit more.

Being one of the longest standing Powdies around, thought I'd share this =
funny tidbit. It really made me laugh when actual IN SYMPATHY cards =
starting coming in the mail to me today from friends and family. Kinda =
tells you how much people knew what the band meant to me(and still do!) =
Just had a big laugh reading a sympathy card for somethiing like this :) =

Here's hoping we get a deluge of DVDs, B-sides, Unreleased gems, and box =
sets!!!!!! Not to mention that DOUBLE CD FUZZ FACE I've been begging Jim =
for!=20

There is no replacing Pete and his impact, but wouldn't blame them in =
the least if they did so to go on from here. Wouldn't you if it meant =
putting food on the table tonight? I can recall hearing countless people =
talking at shows that they love the band but disliked Pete and his =
political rants. Have heard many "Shut up and sing" shouts from the =
peanut gallery. Hope we hear much more from the band after they decide =
what to do without a front man.

The Oils will continue to rock the foundation at my house!
Todd (The Oilman)
