Only a few more hours and I will be at the Phoenix show. Thanks to
everyone who made the Vegas show so fun for me and my sister Julie.
I'll write more of an update tomorrow (running short on time right now).

I wanted to write a few thoughts that came to me as I stood at the gas
station in Kingman on my way home this morning. For those of you that
are unaware, after the WTC tragedy, the road over Hoover Dam was shut
down to all traffic. A few day later, they opened it up to passenger
vehicles. This is the main road from Arizona to Las Vegas. Yesterday,
guards armed with automatic weapons stopped us on the road and checked
out our vehicle before waving us through. And what used to take forty-
five minutes to drive in the past took less than ten now. At 8:00 this
morning, my sister and I walked the length of Hoover Dam and back, with
only about thirty cars passing us during that half hour and only the
maintenance guy there. It was the most eerie feeling in the world. We
are talking about one of the busiest landmarks in the Southwest turned
into a ghosttown because busses can't come through, because
recreational vehicles can't come through, and because people are just
plain avoiding the hassle. It may be a while before our country gets
back to normal, if it ever does, but this concert helped me feel great
for an evening, actually, two evenings. :-)

More tomorrow. Thanks Brian and Erika and everyone we met.
