You know, before I joined Powderworks, I stupidly thought I was Midnight
Oil's only hard core fan. I am glad there are more out there. In college,
(about 10 years ago) I lived and breathed the band. I couldn't get enough
of them. Posters, cd's, anything!!! I was obsessed -- especially with
Peter. Many people thought I was crazy to be so infatuated with a 6'5" bald
man, but I was. His political views, his accent, the way he moves,
everything!!! Since then, I have married, matured, and I have a baby.
Although I am not infatuated anymore, I still think he is incredibly
attractive. I still am an ardent environmentalist, much due to Peter's
influence.

I played the drums in high school and a little in college. I would love to
meet Rob as well. I was able to get a stick from the concert in DC (I think
I wrote that before).

Anyway, it's great to see so many fans just like me. I'm curious, if you
had to pick, what's your three favorite Oil's songs?

Mine would probably be (depending on my mood): Mountains of Burma (which I
hope they will play in concert one day), River Runs Red, One Country, Who
Can Stand in the Way, Hercules, Borderline, Place Without a Postcard (oops,
I listed more than three -- there are just too many!).

Great to meet everyone.

Janice
