A sad day indeed, a lovely man. I can remember lining up with my older =
sister and her friends, who had made a 90 foot long banner , to wave to =
them on their
way in from the airport. Back when they played in Adelaide in 64. Yeah =
I'm showing my age. My sister was lucky to have a ticket to see them, =
and did she have a crush on George. And Pete Best was the replacement =
drummer when Ringo was sick, for trivia fans
What a time. Adelaide had the record for a public reception. 300,000 =
turned out to see them out of 800,000 people. Nothing like it before or =
since here.
All Things Must Pass used to be one of my favorite albums in the 70s. =
wore it out back when vinyl was king.
Course he also came here himself later when the Grand Prix's were on =
here.
Regards Woffles and Anna

Definitely sad for sure. And sad for his son, who is not much older than =
I=20
was when I lost my father.
To all of you in Oz: I'd be very interested in hearing how any of the =
Oils=20
react to news of George Harrison's passing -- especially since Glyn =
Johns did=20
some engineering work for both the Oils and the Beatles -- nice =
connection=20
there! If any Oily comments are reported in the Australian press, would =
you=20
please pass them along to the list? Many thanks!
Regards,
Patty in Maryland
