For those who missed it, "Blood + Thunder: the sound of Alberts" is a truly awesome doco on Alberts music, a Sydney music publisher which transformed itself, under the guidance of music fan, passionate Australian and talented producer Ted Albert, into the home of Oz music in the 60s 70s and 80s. Counting in its alumni Rose Tattoo, Easybeats, the Angels and ACDC among others, Alberts has had an indelible impact on music around the world. The story was little known until now outside of music fans, and this doco is fascinating (and surprisingly poignant in its telling of the story of Stevie Wright)...and it features PG's comments on the scene at the time, including really early footage of the Oils (PG has hair) So what more could you ask for - here's the link to the first part, which screened Thursday night.
