Maybe the boxsets coffin is now sealed, and we wont get anything else than these remasters

I'm nervous about these releases trickling out. Single album remasters, black rain falls etc. I can see us all shelling out small fortunes only to have the boxset come out in the next couple of years with the same releases. We'll bitch and moan but will probably buy it anyway as it will have an unheard 3rd out-take version of Naked Flame or the like.

if you mean the remasters that Jim did and were initially available only on  iTunes, then yes they are worth it.  across the board, to my ear the remasters are improved in sound quality.  at first i quibbled a bit with his choice on Progress, but i suppose he's entitled if anyone is, and i do like his version better than the original release anyways.  D&D is probably closest to the original, but in the US we got Gunbarrel Highway, and the rest of the remaster sounds like its a better recording as well.

D&D is both the most similar and the one which contains the largest changes - in particular, Sometimes is more of a remix than a remaster.
IMO it's not worth it, the original sounded fine.

I agree the others are better across the board. Unfortunately some rather modern aggressive dynamic range compression has crept in during mastering, but there's more to sound quality than DR.

Interesting that they're getting a CD release now - I wasn't expecting that until the boxset.
