Hey All,

just got back from Bluesfest so I thought I'd report in as there was plenty going on.

Managed to meet the guys signing spacefarm CD's and they were in great spirits, just chilling out.
I watched the Break with Rogriguez on the Friday night and they were excellent, Rob on drums, Marting on guitar, Jim on Keys (and other toys!) and of course brian on bass and Jack on the horn. Was a good set and the crowd loved Rodriguez.
Rodriguez was very cool, very placid and just did his thing. The band supported him very very well
They did play a real stripped back version of Redneck Wonderland which was a highlight as well as sugarman as the whole crowd knew it and loved it. they played in the main tent and there must have been 8-10 thousand there.

An hour later the Break played out in the Apra tent and absolutely stormed through their set. It felt like Cylinders and Winkipop were going along at an absolute cracking pace. Wedding Cake Island and some Dick Dale were thrown in.
Ofcourse they played in their new space kits and Brian Ritchie did most of the talking (very amusingly) inbetween songs.
they played 5-6 songs off the new album which were received well.
They finished with the terrific  Spacefarm (best song on the new album by a mile!!!)

An encore was included and they played a great surf cover (and for the life of me I can't name it???)

was anyone else there??

cheers

M
