Midnight Oil

Thanks for that - living in Adelaide the famous Daily Terror is not really part of my media intake - and now I feel slighty dirty for having clicked on that link.

I agree with Jeff's analysis. One has to wonder as to the veracity of "quotes" -Timmy Blair is a famous blog equivalent of a shock jock - eg would Giffo have really described his own vehicle as "Gaia-guzzling"? Looks like he was really complaining about his local council, and the bit at the end was a tacked on extra. Did the either the journo who wrote the article or Timmy actually speak to him - it seems to be entirely based on an email he sent to Timmy.

Maybe the original is on Timmy's blog-not that I think it's worth adding to his click traffic to find out.

Wow - the writer of that piece has taken some serious licence with some of their inferences!  Typical of the DT.  What a rag.  Julia was speaking of "journalists" such as these when she said in that famous press conference "...don't write crap!"

Of course, the Peter of the Gifford variety may be disillusioned with the Peter of the Garrett variety and the party of which he is part, but the only evidence here is the last quote provided.

Soooooooooo many poor inferences and unlinked issues with this baby!!!

ASK old Midnight Oil bassist Peter Gifford what he thinks of his old rocker mate Peter Garrett's Labor government, and you will get a very colourful answer.
