Pete gave the green light for a desalination plant in Victoria in 2009, Pete never consulted us on the area that has Fairy penguins , Seal colonie, A 2,100 Hectares Marine & Coastal Park, Migration path and activity zone for whales,Fossilised dinosaur bones dating back 115 million years, And fifteen known Aboriginal heritage sites within the site boundary . 

Pete trusted the Victorian Department of Sustainability and Envronment 400 page Effects Statement that is run by the State Government Ex Labor planning minister Justin Madden former Australian rules footballer. 
Peter never consulted not once did he come down here, Bob brown did and called on Pete to do the same, bob brown went on say Midnight oil played down here in the late 80s so whats stoping Peter. 


The Phillip Island Fairy Penguins in Victoria, Australia's most popular wildlife attraction mite be killed off by a very big desalination plant.Our Fairy Penguins food chain has not been protected our Fed and State Government's have pushed ahead with silly projects. The Desalination Plant is only 7-8km to Phillip Island the next 30 years is looking bleak.

So The Ex Environment Minister Peter Garrett approved the controversial project subject to conditions. Peter went on to say "I am fully satisfied that with the conditions I have imposed on this approval ... this project will not have a significant impact on nationally protected matters,'' The Government went on to say the Bass Coast location has the least environmental and planning concerns, Minister Garrett is playing politics with our environment and has little knowledge and no care about what is living in the sea.
