Jeff I think you would have to be the aficionado of all things oils, at least I hope you are.

I have been trying to track down a recording of a show that I use to have on cassette and wore out.

Anyway I think it was around the time breathe came out and may have been in Penrith but am not 100% sure.

What I am sure of is that it started with Telstar and I think went into Koala sprint and at the end Pete wishes everyone a good Christmas and that he hopes the angels land in your heart tonight.

So I am hoping you know which concert this is  because as of yet my search to try and get another copy has been nearly impossible without even knowing the details

Hope you can help

Steve

Sweet Georgia Brown was from the Entertainment Centre, not the Capitol Theatre.

The full Capitol setlist is apparently:

1. Outside World

2. Only The Strong

3. Place Without A Postcard

4. No Reaction

5. U.S. Forces

6. Written In The Heart

7. Bus To Bondi

8. Short Memory

9. Knifes Edge

10. Power & The Passion

11. Cold Cold Change

12. Somebody's Trying to Tell Me Something

13. Armistice Day

14. No Time For Games

15. Quinella Holiday

16. Lucky Country

17. Back On The Borderline

18. I Don't Wanna Be The One

19. Burnie

20. Run By Night

21. Stand In Line

22. Wedding Cake Island

23. Is It Now?

24. Powderworks

25. Used & Abused

I have all these tracks from various places, apart from Wedding Cake Islan d.

The FTP you refer to is possibly the one I used to run, but you're right, it's been out of action for several years now.

The best place for finding some live Oils these days is www.dimeadozen.org.  You won't find the Capitol Theatre stuff on there, however, as they have a very strict policy of not allowing anything that has been commercially released in any form.

Hi everyone. Long time Powderworker very rare contributor.

After many years of neglect I have finally found the time to sort throug h/develop my (currently very small) live Oils collection.

Anyway it turns out that my copy of the Oils live on MTV has a faulty Drums of Heaven. I was wondering if anyone might be able to supply me with a replacement copy or point me to where I might be able to download one?

I am also trying to put together the definitive Capitol Theatre concert and although I am currently short a number of songs but one that I am not sure about is Sweet Georgia Brown. Was this played at the Capitol or was it at the Sydney Entertainment Theatre a year later? If it was from the Capitol gig and someone could provide a copy I would be greatly appreciative.

There used to be an ftp site where a lot of very rare Oils was readily available but it doesn't seem to be working now a days.

Cheers

James
