Last Monday I flew from Brisbane to Mackay in a small Qantas Dash-8. As the plane flew over Rockhampton the pilot pointed out the main features, and the devastation was certainly amazing to see first-hand. The airport run way was only partially visible and the flooded area of town was a sea of brown.
