Hey there

Am watching a documentary on Brisbane '70s band "The Saints", when RH popped up, talking about 'em. He said how the Oils would be playing at "French's", and people would often pop in saying they were going to "The Funhouse". Their curiosity got the better of them, and they went and had a squiz and saw a crowd of would-be punks squashed into a tiny upstairs room.

And the "prog rock" Oils with their influences of Yes, Genesis, Tull, The Beatles, Badfinger(?) and Creedence realised that if they didn't double the "beats per minute", they would be left behind.

Just before Rob, Ed Kuepper (Saints drummer) was saying that despite The Saints arriving before The Sex Pistols (London) and The Ramones (New York), he (alone) was concerned that The Saints could be perceived as derivative, rather than as part of tri-continental coincidence.

Am still waiting for "Know your product".
