Ok, here is the problem with these being officially
recorded, its the Oils were talking about. Their main complaint that we've heard
voiced over bootlegs, etc. has always been QUALITY. Now, couple that with the
fact they haven't played in 4 years and even at that it was for 1.5 gigs! So
really its been 7 years since they had any serious interaction. I don't see
Peter having loads of time to prepare and them being concerned over quality
control getting such a great performance that they want to release. That being
said, they undoubtedly WILL record them, but I just don't see them getting them
to the masses however badly we want them.
I hope that someone in the audience captures these
as Powderworkers are still here 7 years after the bands demise and are always
looking to find some nugget to hear that we have yet to, and the band really
hasn't delved into their history to exhume anything great like some of the
classic 78-83 shows that WERE recorded although we do know they did say at one
point that much of this was lost to water damage in some warehouse but I cannot
believe all is lost.
