For those of you in Australia who have access to pay tv, this Saturday 11th
October  the MAX music channel are screening a special from 12pm - 4pm
called Rob Hirst brings you Midnight Oil.  More than likely 4 hrs of video
clips and so on but also has commentary from rob (as per program synopsis).
Also on sunday between 2pm - 4pm they are playing rob hirst brings you Oils
on the water. again something we will all have now considering the dvd
release, but may again have some sought of extra commentary by Rob
 
catch it if you can
 
also, now that the band has given their view on live recordings & that their
ok with it as long as its within the powderworks list, i dont think the need
for a seperate list is required. it should be done easily & freely within
this list & those who are interested can be invloved & those who arent dont
need to worry. id much rather see it go on through this list were where we
can see what goes on & RM as the moderator has some sought of control,
rather than somewhere else where it may possible go somewhat out of control
( selling of live recordings etc etc)
 
its a shame that live shows dont get offered up much anymore, especially for
all the newbies to the list. as the word came from gary morris " it keeps
the music alive "  & if we don't do it as fans through this list only then
who will, the record company ( their only looking to cash in)  & the oils
music deserves to live on strongly
