Now that we've received confirmation from the office, I think the idea of a separate Powderworks trading group sounds like a great idea.   What do others think?

It will also lessen the tension that appears to be rising in the group.  Not good!

Cheers,

Dan

Hi there Powderworkers!

Could I suggest one possible solution to the trading issue?

I belong to another yahoo group whose purpose is to trade Genesis live
shows (yes, the British group of the '70-80ies).Apparent ly Genesis is
not against trading as long as no money is involved. There are clear
trading rules and a lot of goodwill. Activity is lower now due to the
torrent fashion. Live shows are vined or weeded or just traded between
individuals.

My suggestion is: why not create another yahoo group whose only purpose
would be to trade Midnight Oil shows ("Oil-trade" if you like)? Then
trading would be out of the Powderworks group scope and that would
satisfy many among us, I believe.
When the trading question would pop up again, it would be easy to reply
by sending the requester over to the other group.

This is a suggestion, not a proposal as I understand setting up a group
& moderating it requires time that I don't have myself.

But if any fan feels he can do it, why not trying?

As I have read over there: "It is not a lifestyle, it is a hobby!"

Cheers
Gilles
