 read Ben Hill's book 'Blue Murder' which is what inspired Jim and Rob for the Album concept.

  The town is Wittenoom. The article says "the town [ ] inspired a
  song, "Blue Sky Mine", by the Australian band, Midnight Oil."

  I knew Blue Sky Mine was about asbestos, but years ago when I tried to
  find out more, I didn't get very far. The article explains what
  happened to Wittenoom and says that the government wants the town to
  be abandoned.
