I'm finding a presumptuous tone in many recent posts about what we 'ought to get' with any reissues that may be released.

Any reissues, along with any of the bands previous recordings, were a pleasure to buy, enjoy and see played live. I've spent much of my time, effort and money seeing and supporting the group and their music for many years. I have always looked forward to new releases with anticipation and wished for a reunion tour many a sleepy night.

I do not, however, feel the band owes me anything.

Many people here are carrying on in what seems a pretty childish fashion, whose posts only involve why their favourite songs or live shows are not being released or re-released.

It's very probable that the group are interested in what their supporters want - they've always looked after their supporters. I'm also certain that they care about their craft and their music and will publish it in the best way they see fit. There are likely to be numerous issues we are far from aware of involved in releasing music from the 10-1 etc era.

I look forward to the new releases - I can't wait to hear 10-1 and Red Sails remastered. But I certainly will not be bitter if there aren't a bunch of previously unreleased songs included or a dvd of production or concert footage. If I have to buy it from iTunes, then I have to buy it from iTunes.

Appreciate what we've got and what we may have access to in the near future. Enjoy the excellent music. If thats not enough for you, burn your own discs, make a playlist in your ipod, track down the bootlegs of shows you want or hire a covers band to play in your lounge room - they'll do what you tell them.

Enjoy and appreciate, but please don't demand of the artist what you think they should produce.
