Yeah,
It is definitely a cobbled together article. "Oh we better say something
about the Oils..." Nothing to get your teeth into. The reviews were a bit
patronising. Head Injuries with no real sense of political expression. No
Reaction and Stand In Line( if you know which album its on) are classic
anger against the indifference of our political and economic systems.
Perhaps too subtle for the reviewer. Let alone only 1 five star album and
not 10 to 1.

"We get no reaction You have'nt heard a word. Your almost but not quite what
we deserve."

The Australian Rolling Stone Yearbook does feature

a article on the Oils (about 4 pages) though it is very

pissweak and features many mistakes including in

the album overview at the end, it says that Stand

In Line is one of the highlight tracks on Place

Without A Postcard. And the album ratings for most

of the records are way off the mark! (yes i am able to

be objective about this!).

As for Juice Magazine (Australian rock mag that is

run by former Rolling Stone head cat Toby Creswell,

when that magazine was once great!). The company

that owns Juice mag has gone under and they have

not issued a copy for months.

As sad as it is i have yet to read a great Oils tribute

yet that has had some serious time and thought put

into it (Shame, Shame, Shame Aus. press!).
