Mike is correct about the CCR situation. Fogerty does not own any rights to
his songs from the CCR days. They are owned by Fantasy Records and Saul
Zaentz. Matter fact if you could get a first printing of Fogerty's
Centerfield he wrote a song about Zaentz, called "Zaentz can't dance."
Zaentz sued and the song was re-recorded and renamed "Vanz Kant Danz". Mr.
Greed is also about Zaentz.

Because of the dispute Fogerty does not speak with his fellow band members
and for a very long time did not play CCR Songs. Some major person in the
industry persuaded John Fogerty to again begin playing his CCR material
telling him that if he didn't, "Every one will think Proud Mary is a Tina
Turner song."

Fellow band members were barred from performing at CCR's Rock'n'Roll Hall of
Fame induction (Fogerty performed with the house band) leaving the remaining
members of the band to walk out during the performance part.

And finally, John did not talk to his brother CCR guitarist Tom Fogerty until
his last days. Fogerty tells the story that in his last conversation with
his Tom still sided with Zaentz. So Fogerty left the room in a huff. Tom
Fogerty died sometime after that, John never reconciling with his brother
Tom.
