Some DVD players are unable to read CD-Rs, but can read CD-RW discs. There
are web-pages out there explaining this and I think I've posted a URL to
the list in the past about it. Haven't got time to look it up now.

I would try buying a CD-RW disc and writing your MP3s onto it. If it
works, you have a solution.
