Have to agree megan, rob did show some signs of tiredness and I think I even
caught a yawn by him as well. Who could blame him, I never have and
probably will never see a drummer of this type again who hit the traps as
hard and is so passionate and still being the showman about what he plays.
Even paul hester of Crowded House fame said he was buggered after 3 songs
when he filled in for rob in adelaide a few years back, try nearly 2 hours
of it, night after night.

On monday at Metro they played but not on tuesday

overpass
Truganinni
tone poem
only strong
us forces
both worlds
and a verse and a chorus of "harrisburg", jim i think was scratching around
it seemed to try remember the chord structure, probably cause its been a
while since it has been played, but he nailed it as per his usual genius
best.

Martin had his 15 minutes of fame up front of stage on the dead heart, it
was so good to see him get the limelight, bones almost got rolled by pete
during a flash of pete dancing brilliance,, this happened at some other
stage as well.

Roadies dropped robs smaller up front kit, maybe it was sabotage by them in
an effort to keep the electric stuff going??

Crowd was as good as monday, hot and sweaty up front, thankyou to all the
crowds effort to get them back for a second encore.

To those in melbourne and later in the states, you all will have a blast,
the oils are here.

I've got a setlist from the Monday show but of course I forgot to bring it
to work today.
Saw Rob after last nights show and he said he was absolutely buggered.
Of the Oils shows I've seen, the last three nights (particularly last night)
they were just full of so much energy, they been awesome!
It was Martin's birthday yesterday, could be the reason for his
contributions to do-do-do-do-dos in TDH.

When it gets really hot up the front they really need to hose down the
crowd!!

Five shows this week, I think I'll be experiencing withdrawal signs next
week.

Slight correction, Beds was in the encores, not an acoustic guitar in
sight. Crowd was manic, I thought the band was showing signs of this being
the third gig on the trot, Rob looked less zesty than usual, I haven't seen
him alternate his snare striking hand before, as a drummer I'd say that
would be a sign of knackeredness. Peter carried the show. It was bloody
hot up there though. New songs tight. The band had some on-stage
discussion on which song to play last and asked for crowd suggestions. The
wall of sound that responded prompted them to play Forgotten Years.
"..and now for something completely different - Forgotten Years!!!!" Was
anyone at Monday nights show to furnish us with a setlist?
