Back around 1986 I received a copy of Wedding Cake Island from a friend =
and was told it was the UK version of the song. I beleive it was from =
the the UK Power & The Passion 12 inch single (the one with Glitch Baby =
Glitch). I was listening to it again recently and there does appear to =
be some subtle differences.
Does anyone know the origin of this recording? Was it something the band =
re-recorded over in the UK and if so when? Or is it just a remix of the =
original recording as this version also has the 3 seconds of Garrett =
talking like the original. My guess is that it is a remix of the =
original and that echo/reverb has been put onto the guitars and the =
piano in some sections has been elevated in the mix.
