Hey all:

I hope to have the recent July 09, 2002 Kansas City, MO show transfer done tonight...will set up the tree on Monday. I have been delayed while I obtain the necessary equipment for these transfers...will be using a friends PC tonight. By next week I should have my own eq. availible and will probably "release" a show every week...maybe 2x a week later on...(9 total "master" recordings) in the following order...

1) 07-09-2002 Kansas City, MO - Beaumont Club, 2) 05-12-2002 Vancouver, BC - Commodore Ballroom, 3) 05-09-2002 Portland, Oregon - Roseland Theatre, 4) 07-08-2002 St. Louis, MO - Mississippi Nights, 5) 05-15-2002 Edmonton, Alberta - Red's, 6) 07-17-2002 Orem, UT - Mackay Events Center, 07) 05-14-2002 - Calgary, Alberta - Macewan Hall, 8) 05-10-2002 Seattle, WA - Moore Theatre, 9) 07-06-2002 Milwaukee, WI - Summerfest

All shows except for 5-10-2002 Seattle, WA (recorded from the leading edge of the balconey) were recorded from the floor within 30 feet (10 metres) of the stage. Some of them (07-06-2002, 07-08-2002, and 07-09-2002) from the stage barrier at "point-blank" range...r-l channel separation is quite noticable and the acoustic sets sound absoulutely amazing and very dynamic on the percussion...was picking up the sounds more "directly" here than from the PA. Equipment used: Sony MZ-R37 MD recorder and Core Sound cardiod "steath" microphones(~3 feet or separation).

Will atttempt to create 8 CD sets of 07-09-2002 tonight...4 to trade with others and 4 for the distribution tree....anyone with a burner can act as a primary "branch"...I could really use some trades for other shows.

Sure wish I could make those Aussie shows coming up...still hoping for a Nov-Dec US/Canada tour...

Will post the tree "offer" tomorrow if, all goes well...

Take care...

David A. Brass - Arcata, California
