I think that wheel while having some older, less heard songs was great, =
the new stuff keeps them firing.

But I must admit, the Oils included "Is It Now" in a Palace gig that =
tour in Melbourne as a normal 'setlist' track.
They opened with Telstar and then went into Is It Now. It was nothing =
short of brilliant!

It was probably the wheel that did bring that song back into prominence. =
Probably the same could be said for Maralinga and You May Not Be =
Released.

        I must admit i really miss the wheel.As outstanding as the oils =
are live i thought that the wheel just added something extra in =
atmosphere to the gig.I think it was the knowing there was a chance of =
hearing something you'd never heard them play live before like 'is it =
now?' and 'somebody's trying to tell me something' which i heard among =
among other rarities for the first and only time thanks to the wheel.
        I know it was designed to fit in with the '20000 watt rsl' theme =
but i would have thought the guys would have kept it as it added a =
little spontaneity to the set lists which i assume would help on a long =
tour.

          Apoligies to European fans who think i'm looking a gift horse =
in the mouth.

  ...I know what you mean, Jeff, about the 'fantastic front/centre' =
position.=20
  That reminds me - on the 20kRSL tour they got a few people on stage at =

  different times to spin the wheel. Pete said they'd happily play =
Weddingcake=20
  Island if the couple on stage did the 'Weddingcake Island' dance with =
him.=20
  Very fun vibe that night.

  Jim.
