One funny moment from Monday's show in Our Nation's Capital: Peter and Bones,
both dancing around the stage like mad, almost crashed into each other during
BSM, right before the line "I pray for sense and reason." One of them surely
would have had the sense knocked out of him if they had hit hard!! :-) Both
of them finished the song with big wide grins on their faces (yeah, that's so
different from Pete's usual mien!).

I yelled so loudly at the start of "King of the Mountain" that Jim actually
looked up at me and smiled!!!! (I say "looked up" because he really does seem
to spend much of the time looking down at his guitar and pedals.) Of course,
now that it's the day after the day after, I'm starting to sound so hoarse
that people will soon call me Little Miz Anthrax or something!

It was GREAT meeting list members for the first time and also meeting people
who aren't on the list and hopefully getting them to join!!

First off, John and Martin (the two brothers) and Jeff Hughes -- great
spending time with you before the show!! Thanks for saving my little spot of
floor space while I went to procure food and drink!

Many thanks to the unnamed guy with the silver spider necklace who let me get
into the front row for the Oils!!

Garrett H., pleasure to make your acquaintance after reading your posts for
many years! Hope I get to see both you and your wife at a future show!

John Palmer and Jeff Bond, likewise, it was great to talk with you, and Jeff,
*I* know why you were wearing an FDNY cap!

To the guy who said he works for No Such Agency and whose friends whisked him
off in a red Beamer: my friendly suggestion is to make sure you subscribe to
Powderworks from a HOME e-mail address, NOT your work account!

Brad and Steve from Brisbane: You guys were fabulous! Brad, I hope you get
back home in time to VOTE Saturday!

Michael, Elena, Adam-from-DC, and everybody else: Truly a pleasure!!

If I find a published review of the show I'll pass it along to the list, but
the Washington Post tends to run reviews of most popular acts on a
space-available basis, if they review them at all. So don't count on it.

Cheers and smiles,
Patty in Maryland
