I suspect not too many people on this list watch (or admit to watching) Puberty Blues on Ch 10 at the moment (but hey, I grew up in the 70s and 80s in the Cronulla area), but I got a huge buzz when Used and Abused was played during one of the episodes recently. I was very surprised, considering the Oils don't let their songs be used for too many commercial enterprises. But it made for a great soundtrack

It reminded me of the excitement that would sweep the Cronulla beaches when the Oils were coming to town to play the Cronulla Workers club; this was 1980-81 or thereabouts. I was too young to go – but all the surfie crowd would rave – no surprises there. And then the Wanda Beach concert happened the following year.

Ah, the memories……
